In & out, fast and easy! That's how I like it!

In & out, fast and easy! That's how I like it!  Get your mind out of the gutter people! I'm talking about my recipes, prep time and cooking! Mom's who are on the go and have busy schedules DO NOT have time to mess around in the kitchen but they DO want their families to have good tasting and nutritious food to eat nightly. Just because the meals are healthy does NOT mean they don't taste good. That's a myth and a bad myth! So how do you do that in 30 minutes? One: you can prep your weekly meals once a week, suggestively on Sunday and either refrigerate or freeze the meals until you need them. Because most of the meals I show you only take 10-15 minutes to prep, you could also prep and bake/cook the same night as you eat the meal. Kids always want to help so get your littles in there to help out! More the merrier! Here's a sample menu of what I can provide to you and your family: PARMESAN CHICKEN BITES YIELD:   4 SERVINGS PREP TIME:  15 MI

How to survive the weekend

TGIF Guys! I'm confused. Is that "Thank God I'm Fabulous" or is that "Thank God It's Friday?" Either way, I think we qualify for both. We survived another week of healthy living! Congratulate yourselves and give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done! It's so easy to forgo what we did so right by our bodies Monday through Thursday and to blow it Friday through Sunday. All that hard work we did during the week would be worth zilch if we ate whatever we wanted on the weekend though. Right? You might have a family gathering over the weekend and be thinking will there be anything that 'I' can possibly eat. Guess what? You can still enjoy eating. BUT...within moderation. Everything that we crave can still be eaten under the 80/20 rule but in moderation. Pace yourself, continue to workout, drink plenty of water and enjoy your weekend. Wine is still allowed too! Don't get discouraged if you're going out to eat. Eat sm

The Formula for a Healthy Active Lifestyle

We've all heard of the 80/20 rule, right? Well, if you haven't it means 20% counts towards fitness and 80% counts towards nutrition. You need to be consistent with your workouts, getting at least 30 minutes of exercise, (which is only 2% of your day), 5-6 days a week. Try to stay consistent with the time of each workout so you don't skip out on it or cheat out on yourself. The challenge groups, accountability, and support really help with this! The first week might be the hardest, but once you’re used to working out on the same days and times each week, it’ll be a routine that you're adjusted to. You also need to be consistent with your healthy eating. That doesn’t mean you have to be perfect all the time but you do have to be on top of it. I try to teach people to eat clean or in other words to eat non-processed foods. Rid your house of the boxed foods and eat like your great-grandparents would. This doesn't mean you can't indulge here and th
